Acne & Rosacea

Acne is an inflammatory disease of the sebaceous gland follicles that mostly affects adolescents, but many adults (especially women) also suffer from it. It is usually triggered by a keratinisation disorder with increased sebum production and bacterial colonisation. Hormonal changes and genetic factors also play a part.

We have modern treatment options at our disposal with which we can treat acne effectively, so that smooth and healthy skin can almost always be achieved. Dermatological acne treatment started in good time is the best way to prevent later scarring and thus also to maintain good self-esteem.

Rosacea is a chronic facial disease that progresses in flare-ups, with redness, inflammatory pustules and nodules. It affects almost exclusively adults. It is treated with creams containing special active ingredients and IPL flash lamp therapy to improve the redness. In persistent cases, tablets may also be prescribed.
