Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, but in many cases it has a good prognosis. However, the prerequisite for optimal treatment is a timely diagnosis. It is therefore important to have regular skin cancer screening carried out by a specialist. We specialise in reliably detecting precancerous lesions and thus preventing skin cancer from developing wherever possible.
We use the following procedures for diagnosis:
- Dermatoscopy for the early detection of malignant tumours
- Photo documentation of conspicuous moles and skin changes to monitor their progress
- Nevisense procedure to support the diagnosis of conspicuous pigmented moles. This innovative technique allows a painless analysis of skin lesions that are difficult to assess. A risk score is determined that complements the medical examination and provides valuable additional information for detecting melanoma. Black skin cancer (melanoma) can be detected with a probability of up to 97%, thus avoiding unnecessary operations.
